His Journey

He grew up in a family of very funny people who can sing. There was always music in his family. He had good singers in his family. His father was a fan of Bill Cosby.  Having been trained in improv, Rick started training and looked for groups to join. By 1994, he was doing improv. He went to college with his parents pushing him, but when he got out he was determined to pursue his entertainment career. Then he made his way to New York. He left NY due to a roommate situation, but then in 2001, he was cast in a national tour with the cast of Rent.  So Rick came back and moved to the Bronx. Along the way, he became frustrated and started doing his own comedy shows. So he talks about how making his own way worked better for him.
